Britney Spears bounced back into the spotlight at The House of Blues at The Diegan in San Diego last night - the entertainment venue that forms part of the highly anticipated 5-star luxury condo-hotel, developed by renowned hotelier Steve Rebeil, scheduled to open later this year. The show was her first public concert appearance in nearly three years.
Britney appeared to be back in top form and chose The House of Blues at THE DIEGAN in San Diego and its trendy Gaslamp Quarter as the venue for her comeback performance after a year of highs and lows.
The 25-year-old mother of two appeared onstage wearing go-go boots with a short white skirt and skimpy pink top complete with a long brown wig covering her shaved head.
She performed her classic hits including “Baby One More Time,” complete with an air-bound choreographed dance routine. “Thanks everyone for coming,” she told the club, filled to capacity.
Local fans and San Diego residents paid more than $125 for a ticket to see a performance by “The M&Ms” and to experience the near transformation of the entertainment venue that will boast a 23-story building complete with 161 luxury suites and 24 penthouses ranging from the high $400,000s to $3.8 million. An hour after the doors opened Spears’ name was announced, to everyone’s surprise.

Artist Julian Beaver
His art is extremely unique and very amazing. This guy makes his paintings on the footpaths and pavements but when you look at them from a certain angle, they appear to be 3D!!! And in some cases they are just lifelike!
I strongly feel that everybody should know about such an amazing artist and get a chance to praise his unique art!
Here is the first one - Check it out!

Looks like someone put a 3D globe in the middle of the road! But this is actually painted on the road in such a stretched manner that when viewed from this angle, It look 3D! Look at the same painting from a different angle -

Not just the boat or just the water, but everything up to the very depression on the road is painted stuff!!!

Did you know that the number of twin births have more than doubled since the early 1970s? Today, about one of every 35 births in the United States are twins. Even more significant is the number of triplet and higher multiple births which have increased 200 percent over the last three decades.
The most obvious reason for the growing birth rates of twins and multiples is the use of fertility drugs and treatments. These medical interventions are most often the reason for births of four or more multiples. Recent studies from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) show that approximately 43 percent of live births resulting from assisted reproductive techniques were multiples.

Did you know that up to 22 percent of twins are left-handed? In the non-twin population the number is just under 10 percent.
The United States has one of the highest rates of multiples, while Japan has one of the lowest with multiple births occurring one in 120 births.

Twins are either fraternal or identical. Fraternal twins share the same womb, but come from different ovum. They are as alike as any pair of siblings. On the other hand, identical twins come from the same fertilized ovum and consequently share the same genetic makeup.

Incredible fact: According to the Guinness Book of Records, Leontina Albina, from the country of Chile, gave birth to the last of her 55 children in 1981. Her offspring included five sets of triplets (all boys).
The scientific study of twins is known as "gemellology." The word twin is probably derived from an ancient German word twine, which means 'two together.'

The average weight of a singleton newborn is 7 lbs. 6 oz., but the average weight of a triplet newborn is 3 lbs. 12 oz.
Fraternal twins are much more common than identical twins. The chances of having identical twins is about one in 285.

Identical twins exhibit almost identical brain wave patterns.
Genetic factors do not have much, if any, affect on the incidence of identical twins. Identical twins do not run in families

What a concept! There is a restaurant in New York City called "Twins." It was started by twin sisters and is staffed by 37 sets of identical twins who work the same shifts. Each evening they get 10 or more sets of twins or multiples who patron their unique restaurant.

Did you know that Elvis Presley and Liberace were both twins? Their siblings died at birth.
The famed advice columnist's Ann Landers and Abigail Van Buren ("Dear Abby") are twins.
William Shakespeare was the father of boy/girl twins.
Who are currently the most famous teen twins? Easy! Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson.

~~~real rare piCtures of the 1857 mUtiny~~~
The Sikander Bagh in Lucknow was the venue for a fierce battle during the 1857 uprising. This picture was taken by Felice Beato, an Italian who visited India soon after the mutiny and, some say, had the bones dug out for the photo. Pictures courtesy: Alkazi Foundation.
Up to 1,000 British troops, their families and loyal sepoys were holed up in Gen Wheeler's entrenchment in Kanpur for three weeks in June 1857 where they were constantly bombarded by a local prince, Nana Sahib's army. Photo: Felice Beato, 1858.
On 27 June 1857, Europeans who had been promised safe passage from Wheeler's entrenchment arrived at the Sati Chaura Ghat (jetty) to take the boat out when Nana Sahib's army ambushed them and killed many. Photo: Samuel Bourne, early 1865.
A hand-written caption identifies the man as Gungoo Mehter who was tried at Kanpur for killing many of the Sati Chaura survivors, including many women and children. He was convicted and hanged at Kanpur on 8 September 1859. Photo: John Nicholas Tressider.
This sketch of Lucknow's Alam Bagh was made by Lt CH Mecham on 25 December 1857 while fierce fighting raged on. In a note at the bottom of the sketch, the artist wishes "my future readers many happy returns of this festive season".
It was common to hang "rebels" publicly to serve as a warning to avoid future betrayals. It is not known where Felice Beato took this picture in 1858.
The Mutiny Memorial in Delhi is a monument to British officers. In panels around the base, there is a record of 2,163 officers and men who were killed, wounded or went missing between 8 June and 7 September 1857. It was taken in 1870 by an unknown photographer.
